Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have a problem or if you would like to contribute something to the site! ![]() Popuri is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
This past April, some of you guys might remember a thread that was posted on the forum about Jack "appearing" in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Jack H. over at kc-mm.com had played around with the graphic textures of Ness from SSBB and produced a character that looked just like our Harvest Moon hero! Well since then, Jack H. has been busy on a new Harvest Moon-related character. This time, he used Peach to bring to life a certain fan-favorite HM bachelorette! ![]() More pictures of her, as well as the texture file itself, can be found here: http://kc-mm.com/?p=2062 So if you like his texturing job, make sure head over to the site, comment and show him some love. :) Posted on 20 Dec 2009 7:05 PM by Chuck
Harvest Moon on Your Phone!
![]() All the main elements of the DS game should still apply. There's a score attack mode where you can attempt to get the highest score, as well as a mission mode where you deal with harder, pre-designed gardens. To get the game you'll just need to give them your cell phone carrier and your cell phone. Keep in mind though that the game might not be supported on older phones. Check out the Namco site for more details! Posted on 18 Dec 2009 3:58 PM by Chuck
Rune Factory 3 scans + 1UP.com reviews HM:AP and HM:SI
With the fairly recent release of Rune Factory 3 in Japan, Famitsu has released a two page feature on the game in its newest issue - check it out below! ![]() Also, 1Up.com just posted their reviews for Animal Parade and Sunshine Islands They gave Harvest Moon Animal Parade a B, about the same as IGN's grade. And just like IGN's review, 1Up agreed that the best aspect of the game is the freedom to do what you want. Always a plus for me. :) Sunshine Islands received an A-. Similar to Island of Happiness, Sunshine Islands is one of the tougher HM games and requires a good deal of commitment if you want to progress far into the game. But they loved the fact that there is just so much stuff to keep you occupied throughout the day! Posted on 06 Dec 2009 6:03 AM by Chuck

Twin Villages updates + IGN Review of Animal Parade
![]() Owl - A new pet owl has been added to the game! It seems like if you go to the edge of the village and call the owl, it can be used to fly you to and from the mountains. Just make sure to hold on tight! You can see screen-shots of the owl as well as new farming and bee-keeping features here New Characters - A new bachelor, Kiriku, and a new bachelorette, Nana, have been added. Nana is a nice and tolerant person, and Kiriku loves to exercise. See them both here ![]() ![]() Box art & Pre-order Bonus - The official box art for Twin Villages was released recently and can be seen above (click for larger image). The game is set to release in Japan on February 25th. And if you pre-order it, in Japan only obviously, you get some sort of strap alpaca keychain as a bonus. Hopefully if/when it's released in North America and Europe, we'll also be lucky enough to get a pre-order bonus. Plush alpacas anyone? Also, IGN just reviewed Animal Parade. Check it out here Overall, they weren't fond of the graphics or sound, but liked the gameplay and gave it a solid 7.5 out of 10. They say the HM veterans will feel right at home with the freedom of the gameplay and can expect another quality harvest moon title. And for those that are new to Harvest Moon games or have never played one, this would be a great game to start with! Posted on 22 Nov 2009 9:18 PM by Chuck
HMO is on Twitter!
![]() Just letting you guys know that you can now follow us on Twitter! If you're unfamiliar with Twitter it's probably best if you check out and explore the site a bit. But basically, we'll be using it to post whenever we have a new update to our main site - in this way, it'll also act as an RSS feed. We're hoping this will make it easier for some people to follow the updates to the site (yes we'll be updating more frequently :P). Hopefully we can also connect with some Harvest Moon fans on Twitter that might not have ever heard of us. And it just so happens that some other familiar groups are twittering too, such as Natsume and XSEED. So if you're interested follow us on twitter, and if you're not... then kindly disregard everything you just read! :) HMOtaku Twitter page HMOtaku RSS Feed Posted on 15 Nov 2009 3:52 PM by Chuck
