HMOtaku > Games > A Wonderful Life > Children ChildrenYour child's looks and personality will be different depending on whom you marry. Here is some basic information about them that applies to all three children. For more specific information, jump to: Toddler Stage(Chapter 2) Interaction:
In addition to playing with him, you can also give him a bath on certain days. These days vary each month. To see if you can bathe him, just enter the kitchen at a time when he's there (around 6PM seems to be the best time). The toddler stage is the only stage in his life in which you can pick him up and take him places, so take advantage of that to develop his interests! His interests may change in later chapters depending on where you take him as a toddler. Genetic Strengths and Interests:Depending on who you married, your child has a set number of strengths and interests. The first set (strengths) is purely genetic; it's simply what he's naturally good at. The second set (interests) are simply what he likes. Though at first your child has a default number of interests, these are the things you can actually influence. Your actions, what friends you make, and where you take him can and will change his interests. Credit for each of the children's default strengths and interests goes to this site. Apparently, Celia's child would make a great farmer! His strengths are in animals and plants, thanks to both yours and Celia's influence, I suppose. None of his strengths are terribly low, so influencing him to be what you like shouldn't be too hard.

His two main interests coordinate with his strengths: Plants and animals (despite the fact he's terrified of animals at first). He has little interest in anything else, so it'll take quite a bit of work to get him to be anything else.

Note: Your child's personality will differ according to how you've raised him, meaning that your child will not necessarily turn out as listed here. This data is based off of Akie's own experience in the game.
Toddler Stage(Chapter 2)
He's just as much of a handful as Muffy's child... almost. He doesn't have that devilish, mischievous side to him. But he enjoys going out and running around the farm all day.
As could be expected, he loves plants. Celia's determined to have him take over the farm one day, so she must be trying to teach him everything about plants. However, he's scared to death of animals. He's even frightened of ducks! He needs a bit of help in that regard..
Boyhood Stage(Chapter 3)
He's still a very well-behaved child. Takakura seems to think he takes very heavily after Celia. However, the child himself seems to think otherwise, sad that he can't really live up to being the "good child" that everyone seems to think he is..
He loves animals. I don't know when the change happened, but they no longer terrify him. He seems to know a lot about them, too.
He often asks me if running the farm is fun, and... whether or not Wally could outrun me? Strange kid, I thought he didn't have an interest in exercise. He also makes some of the strangest, most random comments, like, "I wish I had a sister like Nami!" or "Do you think Kassey likes Muffy?" (That is a very scary thought!)
He likes apples, eggs, milk, and horse-shaped figurines from the ruins.
Teenage Stage(Chapter 4)
To be honest, I don't know much about him yet: I just got to Chapter 4. But he smiles a LOT, more than the other two did. He seems much more cheerful and happy. I guess that's a good sign.
While he still likes animals, he has decided that taking care of them is just too much work (and spends all day telling me that, too. That's about all he'll say to me). Celia and Carter both seem to think that he's going to become a scholar someday (though I'm sure that Celia is still hoping that he'll change his mind and become a farmer). But I want him to become a musician. Well, only time will tell.
He really likes apples.
Muffy's son's strengths are, obviously, in sports and music. Despite his love of animals, his strengths involving them are rather low, which is rather surprising.

His main interests lie in animals and exercise. Though Muffy wants him to grow up to be intelligent, learning is neither one of his strengths or interests. Instead, he's inclined to grow up to be an athlete unless you influence him another way.

Toddler Stage(Chapter 2)
It's hard to keep up with this kid. He's all over the place. He'll go to the barn, the chicken coop, the pasture, the tool shed, the path leading to the spring, etc. He constantly talks about animals, and asks you if you like animals (You can either tell him yes, no, or that you like him better than any animal).
He tried to push his luck with his mommy once by staying out in the barn past his bedtime, and Muffy wasn't too pleased. But he didn't learn the lesson: right at the end of Chapter 2, he decided to stay up by staying in the kitchen after 9PM. Muffy didn't discipline him for that one.
As regards personality, he must be a lot like Muffy was at that age. He's very outgoing, just like his mama.
Boyhood Stage(Chapter 3)
He's still very outgoing and easy to spoil. He and Kate seem to be good friends, they're together fairly often. He's still obsessed with animals, and likes to ask you if running a farm is fun or not. He also started asking me about whether or not I thought I could outrun Wally. Of course, I don't think that would be possible, but it's fun telling him once in a while that his old man could beat a professional marathon man, hehe. ^^; (He didn't believe me, though. Darn.)
He also is developing an interest in art: He says that his mother often praises his work. Maybe a little too much. But Muffy must be enthralled to see him take such an interest in something other than animals. Cody seems to think he has artistic talent, too.
He's very fond of eggs and milk.
Teenage Stage(Chapter 4)
He's going through the awkward and rebellious stage, poor kid. The main thing on his mind right now is no longer animals or art, but girls and bodybuilding. He doesn't think he's handsome or strong enough for a girl from the city to like him (Muffy thinks he must have a crush on someone.) He still likes animals, but thinks that taking care of them is just too much work...
He doesn't smile much, and is a lot harder to please than he was as a child. He will only accept certain things from the ruins and star milk now.
Adult Stage(Chapters 5 & 6)
He's more or less reverted to how he was as a child: Cheerful and mischievous. He still doesn't seem too likely to take over the farm... and he didn't. He became an artist. I guess Muffy and Cody were on to something when they said he had artistic talent, eh? He still likes to receive certain things from the ruins and star milk.
Compared to the other children, Nami's child has very high strengths. In fact, he apparently has the potential to become anything aside from an athlete (which I'm sure he can become anyway with some pushing). Like Nami, he seems to be a thinker: Learning/science and art are his especially good traits.

In order to make up for his strengths, he unfortunately doesn't actually seem to be interested in much. He has a high potential to become an artist or a farmer, however. It shouldn't be too hard raising his interests in other areas, as most of his strengths are high.

Toddler Stage(Chapter 2)
Three words to describe him: Perfect little angel. He is so well-bahaved and calm compared to the other two. He might eventually start protesting when bedtime comes, but that's only if you've been giving him too much attention. Nami isn't even in the room half the time when his bedtime comes, and if she's not, he will always go to bed by himself!
He's obsessed with shapes and colors. He'll often ask you if you are... square. While you aren't exactly square, you can either tell him you are or you are not (though he'll be rather disappointed if you tell him you're not). He eventually also developed a fondness for plants.
This little guy does go outside some, but not that often. And when he does, he rarely goes farther than the toolshed. He seems to be very unlike his mother in this way, but I'm supposing that his unsociable nature and love for learning were inherited from Nami's side.
Boyhood Stage(Chapter 3)
He's still shy and well-behaved, but does go out a lot. He'll hang around Cody's house or other areas all day.
He's quite interested in art, and really seems to look up to Cody. He'll often ask you what you think that... thing is by Cody's house (I'm not sure what he's referring to). Cody isn't the only person whom he talked about; just like his mother, he seems to enjoy observing people in their daily business without actually playing much of a part in other people's lives.
He likes eggs, milk, and seeds.
Teenage Stage(Chapter 4)
The teenage years are the hardest point in anyone's life, so your child is no exception. Though he might not resent you too much, Nami's child will find almost everything his mother does as annoying (He probably doesn't realize that as far as his personality goes, he is very much like his mother!). On top of that, he's fairly depressed much of the time, even telling you he thinks he would have preferred to have never been born. However, he still has an interest in both plants and animals.
Nami and Carter seem to think he will grow up to be an archeologist... I'm not exactly sure where that idea came from.
He likes tomatoes and goat's milk now.
Adult Stage(Chapters 5 & 6)
He's not nearly as depressed as he was as a teenager, but he's not exactly the cheerful, happy-go-lucky type either (just like his mother). He has decided, though, that he wants to take over the farm, and that's exactly what he did, concentrating on plant care and getting rid of that pesky mole cricket...
He still likes tomatoes and goat's milk.
